Groundwork — Custom Digital Builds

Built once. Built right.

Groundwork builds custom web apps, sites, and digital products on a modern production stack — engineered by someone who finishes what he starts, and builds foundations that actually hold.

Most custom builds are either overpriced agency projects that stall halfway, or cheap template jobs that fall apart the moment they meet real users. Businesses end up paying twice — once for the broken version, and again for the rebuild.

Groundwork is the alternative. We build production-grade web apps, websites, mobile apps, and digital products on a modern stack — Supabase, Next.js, React, Vercel, and Stripe — with authentication, payments, real-time data, and custom functionality engineered in from day one. Not a prototype. Not a demo. A real system.

This includes website revamps and rebuilds — but done properly. We don't patch over another developer's mess or inherit legacy problems; we rebuild clean, on solid foundations, so what you own actually works and keeps working. Everything we build is yours: your code, your infrastructure, no vendor lock-in, no black boxes.

Built for

  • Founders with a real idea and no technical co-founder
  • SMEs who need a genuine digital product, not a template
  • Businesses burned by agencies that delivered half-built work
  • Companies whose current site or app is holding them back

The problem we solve

The gap between a demo and a production system is everything a client can't see — auth, data integrity, security, scalability, and the discipline to finish. Most builds fail on exactly those invisible things, which is why so many businesses end up rebuilding within a year.

What you're actually buying

A production-ready system that works, scales, and won't need rebuilding in twelve months.

What we do

Web App Builds

Full-stack applications on Supabase, Next.js, React, and Vercel — authentication, payments via Stripe, real-time data, custom mapping, and automated email, production-grade from day one.

Website Design & Build

Brand-ready, high-performance websites built custom — fast, responsive, SEO-sound, and yours to own. Not a template with your logo dropped in.

Website Revamps

Rebuilds and modernisation of existing sites — including Shopify and website-platform stores — brought up to production standard. Rebuilt clean, never patched over legacy mess.

Mobile Apps & PWAs

Cross-platform mobile applications and progressive web apps built on a modern stack, connected to real backends and ready to ship.

Internal Tools & SaaS

Custom internal systems, admin dashboards, and client-facing SaaS foundations — the operational software your business actually needs, built to scale.

Landing Pages

High-converting, fast-loading landing pages built and deployed — for campaigns, launches, or standalone offers.

How we do it

A build is only as good as the thinking behind it. Groundwork follows an architecture-first process — the same discipline that comes from delivering complex projects in the real world — so what gets built is right the first time.

  1. Scope

We define exactly what's being built, the dependencies, and the sequence — before a line of code is written.

  2. Architect

We design the data model, auth, integrations, and structure so the foundation holds as the product grows.

  3. Build

We build on a modern production stack with clean, maintainable, fully-owned code.

  4. Test

Real scenarios, edge cases, and device coverage — verified before launch, not after.

  5. Deploy & Handover

Deployed to production, documented, and handed over in full. Your code, your infrastructure, no lock-in.

Production-ready from day one — not a prototype you'll outgrow

Modern, scalable stack — Supabase, Next.js, Vercel, Stripe

Fully owned — no vendor lock-in, no black boxes, your code

Tools we work with

  • Supabase / PostgresBackend, authentication, real-time data, and row-level security for production apps.
  • Next.js / ReactModern, fast, maintainable front-end and full-stack framework for web and app builds.
  • VercelProduction deployment, edge performance, and reliable hosting.
  • StripePayments, subscriptions, and billing integrated properly and securely.
  • React Leaflet / MappingCustom, from-scratch mapping built into apps where location is core.

Spread.co

A fully custom SaaS platform for an organic grocer, built on Supabase and deployed on Vercel. ZOLA Look

ZOLA Look

First client. A Shopify fashion store whose theme editor the previous developer had locked into hidden regions — unlocked completely and handed back to the owner, then revamped: light and dark across the store, corrected product and shop typography, a location-detecting global currency converter, and Meta, TikTok and Google Ads aggregated into Shopify alongside the brand's own social accounts.

Where this crosses over

The crossover principle is verb-based, not tool-based. What the client needs done to a tool determines which service it belongs to:

  • Building / coding / architecting from scratch → Groundwork
  • Connecting / automating / orchestrating between tools → Tempo
  • Strategising / designing / governing before either → Compass

Once it's built, need the tools connected and the manual work automated? That's Tempo — automation and workflow systems.

Not sure what to build yet, or how the architecture should be structured? That's Compass — strategy and system architecture before the build begins.

The distinction is the verb: building a Notion system, a Supabase backend, or a custom CRM from scratch is Groundwork. Connecting those same tools and automating between them is Tempo. What you need done decides where it sits.

The difference between a demo and a product is everything you can't see.

Tell us what you're building. We'll build it properly — the first time.
